Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and “Hollowbound Realms” (“we”, “us”, “the game”, “the service”). By creating an account, playing online or buying from the Store, you accept them. Contact: [email protected].

1. Who may play

You must be 18 or older to create an account or buy from the Store. One account is for one person; keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

2. The game is in beta

Hollowbound Realms is in active development. Features, balance and content will change. The realm may be down for maintenance or updates, and in rare cases progress may be lost or reset. We will tell players in advance of a planned reset where we can.

3. Your licence to the game

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and play the game for your own non-commercial use. The game, its art, music, story and code belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, sell or redistribute the game, or modify, decompile or attack the game or the realm, except where the law allows it.

4. Fair play and conduct

• No cheats, bots, automation, exploits of bugs, or tools that change the game or read its memory.
• No harassment, hate speech, threats or spam in chat or names. The realm filters chat and mutes floods.
• No selling or buying of accounts, characters, items or Gold for real money.
• Report bugs you find (Game Menu → FEEDBACK) rather than using them.

We may warn, mute, suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and remove what was gained by breaking them.

5. The Store and digital items

• The game Store may sell digital items for real money, US dollars, processed through a third-party payment gateway. Taxes are added where the law requires.
• Digital items, Gold and anything earned or bought in the game are licensed to you for use in the game. They have no value outside it, cannot be exchanged for money, and remain ours.
• Purchases are delivered to your account at once and are final, except as the Refund Policy says (a game error reported within 72 hours).
• While a payment is disputed or charged back, Store access on the account is suspended until it is settled.
• We may change prices and what the Store offers at any time; a change does not affect a purchase already made.

6. Ending

You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we ever shut the game down, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the game and on this website.

7. No warranty

The game is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

8. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or in-game items, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and of the state in which the operator resides, without regard to their conflict-of-law rules. If you live in a country whose consumer laws give you rights that cannot be waived, those rights still apply.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, tell players in the game before they apply. Playing after a change means you accept the new terms.
